I somehow survived growing up as the middle child of 13, .
I will never turn down a road trip, coffee, or food (Turkish, Mexican, or smokehouse are my favourite)
I love animals and am constantly torn between adopting all of them or traveling.
I believe in honesty, integrity, and hard work, and I approach every session with care, intention, and appreciation for your story.
HOW IT BEGAN
THE MAGIC OF PHOTOGRAPHY ALL STARTED MANY YEARS AGO…
My photography journey began long before I owned a working camera. As a kid, the one thing I wanted more than anything was a camera.
I went through far too many disposable cameras before finally buying my first digital at 18. 3 years later I bought my first DSLR and my dream gradually turned into a business. Dream-chasing wasn’t exactly encouraged growing up so not having that support made it very challenging so I taught myself.
From there, my passion only grew. I practiced constantly, studied obsessively, and taught myself through whatever information I could find online. Trial and error, late nights, and a lot of bad photos came before the good ones.

I Am A Wife and Mom
Fun fact: I met my husband when I was probably six years old, and not in a rom-com destined love kind of way. At 6 and 4 you don’t thing about love and marriage. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d fall in love with him. Now we’re married with four sons and my life is loud, chaotic, and full of surprises in the very best way.
Believer
I was born and raised in a Christian Mennonite home, and while I’m no longer Mennonite, I still deeply love my roots, the culture, and the values that shaped me into who I am today. I’m still a Christian, still love Jesus with all my heart.
Introvert
Ironically I am an introvert despite being a photographer and coming from a large family. Blame it on being mostly homeschooled maybe?
